DAHI VADA

Dahi vada is prepared by soaking uddina vadas / urad lentil doughnuts in thick dahi /curd /yogurt. It is served as a snack or chaat


INGREDIENTS


  • 4 Pre cooked vada

  • 1 cup thick curd/ yogurt

  • A pinch of chilly pd

  • salt to taste

  • Few coriander leaves

  • 3 tsp sweet chutney (optional)


METHOD


  1. Soak pre-cooked vada in mildly salted hot water.

  2. Let it cool for a while.

  3. Whisk curd with salt.

  4. Squeeze the vada between your palms to remove the water.

  5. Transfer it into a flat dish.

  6. Pour curd over the vadas.

  7. Garnish with chilly pd and corriander leaves

  8. Refrigerate for a couple of hrs for the curd to soak in .

  9. Serve with khari boondi or just as it is


Note

  1. You can add little sugar to your curd to give it a slightly sweet taste.

  2. You can also sprinkle dry roasted and powdered jeera and sweet chutney.
