GREEN OMLETTE

This omlette is a combination of wheat flour, egg, spring onion, lots of greens and microgreens. It is a healthy meal by itself and quite filling. It is easy to cook and a good option for breakfast



Serves : 1


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp wheat  flour / multigrain flour

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1/4 small onion / spring onion

  • Greens like baby spinach, methi microgreens / any greens of your choice.

  • Few coriander leaves

  • Few mint leaves

  • Chilly flakes /green chilly to taste

  • Oregano seasoning to taste (optional )

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tsp oil of your choice for frying


METHOD

  1. Peel, wash and finely chop onion / spring onion

  2. Clean, wash and roughly tear greens ( baby spinach, microgreens, spring onion leaves, coriander and mint leaves etc., )

  3. Beat an egg along with chopped onion, greens, microgreens, chilly flakes, salt and seasoning.

  4. Mix wheat flour with water and add to egg mixture. Beat it well so that there are no lumps in it.

  5. Heat oil in a frying pan and pour this egg and wheat mixture and cover with a lid on slow flame. Turn it once and cook till well done.

  6. Serve it hot with some sauce.


Waffle with the same batter.
