PAAV BHAJI

Paav Bhaji is an Indian snack made with mashed potatoes, vegetables, spices and dollops of butter. It is served with Indian bread or Paav.


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Medium Potato

  • 3/4 cup finely chopped Cauliflower

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped Carrots

  • 3/4 cup finely chopped. Capsicum

  • 11/2 cup finely chopped Onions

  • 1 cup finely chopped Tomatoes

  • 1 tsp Garlic paste

  • 1/2 cup Coriander chopped

  • 2 tsp Paav bhaji Masala

  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 2 tbsp Oil

  • 75 gms Amul Butter

  • 1/2 cup water

METHOD

  1. Pressure cook potatoes, cauliflower, carrots with water.

  2. Give one whistle.

  3. Cool and mash the veggies roughly.

  4. Heat oil add 1/2 of the butter.

  5. Add finely chopped onions, fry till transparent.

  6. Add garlic paste , tomatoes and half the coriander.

  7. Add capsicum, salt and turmeric

  8. Add paav bhaji masala and mashed vegetables.

  9. Cook till nicely done.

  10. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

  11. Top it with butter.

  12. Serve with buttered paav and chopped onions on the side.

  13. You may add a blob of butter on the bhaji while serving.
