SABUDANA KHEER

Sabudana kheer, is an indian sweet dish prepared with thickened milk and sago / sabudana.

Sago is a type of starch extracted from cassava root. It’s versatile and a primary source of carbs .



INGREDIENTS


  • 1/2 cup soaked sabudana

  • 500 ml milk

  • 1/4 cup sugar or to taste.

  • A pinch cardamom powder

  • 1 tbsp cashew, almonds coarse powder

  • A pinch Saffron to garnish.


METHOD


  1. Boil milk till semi thick.

  2. Add cardamom powder.

  3. Add the soaked sago

  4. Cook till done.

  5. Add the nuts and saffron.

  6. Cool a bit.

  7. Add the sugar.

  8. Serve chilled as a dessert.
