Sabudana kheer, is an indian sweet dish prepared with thickened milk and sago / sabudana.
Sago is a type of starch extracted from cassava root. It’s versatile and a primary source of carbs .
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup soaked sabudana
500 ml milk
1/4 cup sugar or to taste.
A pinch cardamom powder
1 tbsp cashew, almonds coarse powder
A pinch Saffron to garnish.
METHOD
Boil milk till semi thick.
Add cardamom powder.
Add the soaked sago
Cook till done.
Add the nuts and saffron.
Cool a bit.
Add the sugar.
Serve chilled as a dessert.
