SEMOLINA / SOOJI PHIRNI

Phirni is a creamy sweet pudding made with semolina, milk, dry fruits, saffron and sugar. Semolina / sooji phirni is a quick and easy recipe to satisfy your sweet cravings.




Serves: 4


INGREDIENTS


  • 1/2 lt milk

  • 3 tbsp semolina /sooji

  • 6 tbsp sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • Pinch saffron / cardamom pd /rose water

  • 5 - 6 almonds

  • Few raisins


Method


  1. Bring milk to a boil.

  2. Add saffron / cardamom pd.

  3. Mix semolina well in 1/4 cup water.

  4. Add this mixture to boiling milk and continue stirring to avoid lumps.

  5. Cook on low flame till the milk thickens and semolina is cooked.

  6. Add sugar cook till it completly dissolves.

  7. Stir for 5 mins and remove in a serving bowl.

  8. If using rose water you can add it now.

  9. Garnish with almond silvers and raisins / kishmish.

  10. Serve it hot or cold.
