CABBAGE / PATTA GOBI GOSHT

Cabbage is an exceptionally healthy food. It has an outstanding nutrient profile and is especially high in vitamins C and K. It makes a healthy and tasty recipe with mutton.




Serves: 4


INGREDIENTS


  • 1/2 kg soft mutton chunks

  • 1 medium size cabbage

  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 onions

  • 1 tsp chilly pd

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric pd

  • 2 tsp coriander pd

  • 1 tsp salt or to taste

  • 3 tomatoes

  • 2 cloves

  • 2 cardamom

  • A pinch cinnamon pd

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional )

  • Water



METHOD


  1. Clean and wash mutton.

  2. Pressure cook mutton, salt and turmeric pd for 10 mins

  3. Puree tomatoes cloves and cardamoms in the grinder keep aside.

  4. Heat oil in a pan.

  5. Fry onions golden brown.

  6. Add chilly pd, turmeric pd and coriander pd.

  7. Add tomato puree and roast it well till oil separates.

  8. Add grated / finely chopped cabbage.

  9. Roast it well.

  10. Add pre-cooked mutton and mix it well.

  11. Add the stock and pressure cook for just one whistle or cook it in the pan for 15 - 20 min or till done.

  12. This is a dry dish.

  13. Drizzle olive oil.

  14. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

  15. Serve with chapathi / bread / rice and enjoy.
