KHEEMA / MINCE VEGGIE BAKE

A delightful baked dish with mince, lot of veggies and white sauce.



INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 kg Mince mutton / chicken

  • 2 Onions

  • 1 tsp chopped  Garlic

  • Chilly  flakes

  • 1/4 tsp Pepper pd

  • 2 Tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp Tomato sauce

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour

  • 3 1/2 cups Milk

  • 4 Tbsp Butter/olive oil

  • Mushrooms

  • Green peas

  • Carrots

  • Capsicum

  • Babycorn


METHOD


Mince sauce


  1. Boil mince meat with chopped garlic, salt and chilly flakes.

  2. Heat oil fry onions till transparent

  3. Add tomato pulp and stir well till it dries.

  4. Now add cooked mince and cook well.

  5. Finally add tomato sauce to give it a tangy taste.

  6. Alter the spices according to your taste.

  7. Keep aside.


White sauce


  1. In a pan melt butter/ olive oil over medium heat,

  2. Add flour and stir until the butter /olive oil and flour are well combined.

  3. Remove the pan and cooled down for a while.

  4. Pour in milk, stirring constantly as it thickens.

  5. Add more milk depending on desired consistency.


Veggies


  1. Stir fry onions, peas, carrots, capsicum, babycorn, mushrooms and pepper or veggies of your choice.

  2. Keep aside.


Baking


  1. Grease a  baking tray with oil or butter and spread a layer of mince sauce alternate it with  white sauce them spread veggies  and top it with the  remaining  white  sauce. 

  2. Sprinkle grated mozzarella  cheese.

  3. Sprinkle some herbs like oregano.

  4. Top it with little butter or olive oil.

  5. Bake at 180 c on the middle rack of the oven for 30 min or till done.

  6. Serve hot with some garlic bread and enjoy.
