POMFRET MASALA FRY

This Pomfret masala fry is very easy to cook. The spicy marinade adds flavour to it and makes it very delicious. This along with some salad makes it a complete meal.




Serves: 5


INGREDIENTS


  • 1 kg Pompret fish

  • 1 tsp Chilly pd

  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric pd

  • 1/4 cumin / Jeera pd

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1tbsp Tamarind

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • Corriander leaves

  • 2 tbsp cornflour

  • 1 lime

  • Oil for frying


METHOD


  1. Clean and wash whole fish.

  2. Make gashes in the pomfret.

  3. Apply salt and lime juice and leave it in the fridge for 1/2 an hour.

  4. Wash it well to remove extra salt and fish smell.

  5. Mix together ginger-garlic paste, jeera pd, turmeric pd, red chilli pd, finely chopped corriander leaves, salt tamarind paste and cornflour.

  6. Apply this paste in the gashes of the fish.

  7. Refrigerate at least for an hour .

  8. Shallow fry till golden and well done.

  9. Drain it on tissue paper to remove excess oil.

  10. Serve with onions, lime and green salad.
